FAQs

It teaches the principle of adhikāra (spiritual eligibility): the same Shaiva instruction yields results in proportion to one’s purity, discipline, and conscientious avoidance of sin—preparing the soul to receive Shiva’s grace.

Linga worship is most fruitful when paired with sadvṛtti (right conduct) and pāpa-bhaya (fear of wrongdoing). The verse implies that Saguna Shiva worship bears “tat-tat phala”—results aligned with the devotee’s inner readiness and sincerity.

Maintain ethical restraint and purity alongside worship—regular japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and disciplined conduct—so the practice yields its intended fruit.
