पञ्चकृत्यलक्षणनिर्णयः

Definition of Śiva’s Five Cosmic Acts—Pañcakṛtya

लिंगं बेरं च मेतुल्यं यजतां लिंगमुत्तमम् । तस्माल्लिंगं परं पूज्यं बेरादपि मुमुक्षुभिः

liṃgaṃ beraṃ ca metulyaṃ yajatāṃ liṃgamuttamam | tasmālliṃgaṃ paraṃ pūjyaṃ berādapi mumukṣubhiḥ

నాకు లింగమూ బేరమూ (ప్రతిష్ఠిత విగ్రహం) రెండూ ఉపాస్యాలే; అయితే ఉపాసకులకు లింగపూజే అత్యుత్తమం. కాబట్టి మోక్షార్థులు బేరకన్నా మిన్నగా లింగాన్నే పరమ పూజ్యంగా భావించాలి.
