महापातकवर्णनम् (Mahāpātaka-varṇanam) — “Description of Great Sins and Their Consequences”
न ब्रवीति च यः सत्यं न प्रदानं करोति च । अशुचिर्वाऽशुचिस्थाने यः प्रवक्ति शृणोति च
na bravīti ca yaḥ satyaṃ na pradānaṃ karoti ca | aśucirvā'śucisthāne yaḥ pravakti śṛṇoti ca
సత్యం చెప్పని వాడు, దానం చేయని వాడు; తాను అశుచిగా ఉండి లేదా అశుచిస్థలంలో పవిత్ర కథను చెప్పి వినేవాడు—శివాచారంనుండి పతితుడై ఉన్నత సాధనకు అర్హుడు కాడు।
