भैरवावतारलीलावर्णनम् (Bhairava-avatāra-līlā-varṇanam) — “Narration of the Divine Play of Bhairava’s Descent”
तं दृष्ट्वा न पुनर्जन्म लभ्यते मानवैर्भुवि । सोयमायाति भगवांस्त्र्यम्बकश्शशिभूषणः
taṃ dṛṣṭvā na punarjanma labhyate mānavairbhuvi | soyamāyāti bhagavāṃstryambakaśśaśibhūṣaṇaḥ

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Ishana
Jyotirlinga: Tryambakeshvara
Sthala Purana: Tryambakeśvara is famed as the jyotirliṅga where Śiva is worshiped as Tryambaka; the region is also linked with the Godāvarī’s sacred emergence, making darśana and snāna mutually reinforcing in pilgrimage practice.
Significance: Darśana of Tryambaka is held to destroy pāśa (bondage) and grant mokṣa/cessation of punarjanma; especially revered with Godāvarī-snān and pradoṣa/mahāśivarātri worship.
Type: mahamrityunjaya
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
The verse declares that Shiva-darśana (direct beholding of the Lord) destroys the cause of saṃsāra—bondage and ignorance—so the soul is not driven again into rebirth, pointing to moksha through the Lord’s grace.
It emphasizes Saguna Shiva as personally approachable—Tryambaka, Chandrashekhara—whose tangible presence and vision (including in Linga worship and temple darśana) becomes a grace-filled means to liberation.
Seek Shiva-darśana with devotion: worship the Shiva-linga, repeat the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and meditate on Tryambaka (three-eyed) and the moon-adorned form as a focus for inner purification.
