नन्दिकेशावतारवर्णनम् (Nandikeśa Avatāra Varṇanam) — “Account of the Descent/Origin of Nandikeśvara”
ततः प्रसन्नो भगवान्देवदेवस्त्रिलोचनः । वरदोऽस्मीति तम्प्राह शिलादं मुनिपुंगवम्
tataḥ prasanno bhagavāndevadevastrilocanaḥ | varado'smīti tamprāha śilādaṃ munipuṃgavam
అప్పుడు దేవదేవుడు, త్రినేత్రుడు అయిన భగవాన్ శివుడు ప్రసన్నుడై మునిశ్రేష్ఠుడు శిలాదునితో పలికెను— “నేను వరదాతను; నీకు వరం ఇస్తాను।”
