नन्दीश्वर उवाच । शृणु तात प्रवक्ष्यामि शिवस्य परमात्मनः । द्विजेश्वरावतारं च सशिवं सुखदं सताम्

నందీశ్వరుడు పలికెను—తాతా, విను. ఇప్పుడు పరమాత్మ శివుని ద్విజేశ్వరావతారాన్ని, శివమయమైన శుభకథను చెప్పుదును; అది సత్పురుషులకు సుఖప్రదము.
