Kṣaura-Snāna-Vidhi — Rite of Tonsure/Shaving and Purificatory Bath (Śaiva Procedure)

अन्यां मृदम्भागयित्वा शिरसि द्वादश क्रमात् । आलिप्य मृदमास्यान्तनिमज्य च पुनः पुनः

Transliteration

anyāṃ mṛdambhāgayitvā śirasi dvādaśa kramāt | ālipya mṛdamāsyāntanimajya ca punaḥ punaḥ

Translation

తరువాత పవిత్ర మట్టిలో మరో భాగాన్ని తీసుకొని శిరస్సుపై పన్నెండు క్రమాలుగా లేపనం చేయాలి. లేపనం చేసిన తరువాత పెదవుల వరకు మట్టిని మళ్లీ మళ్లీ ముంచి, ఈ విధంగా శైవ శుద్ధి విధిని ఆచరించాలి.
