FAQs

It points to Śiva’s act of tirobhāva—His power of concealment that limits the soul’s direct vision—yet affirms that even this cosmic veiling is ultimately governed by Maheśvara and culminates in śānti (inner peace) and the unsurpassed supreme state (pada).

In Linga-worship, the devotee approaches Saguna Śiva as the accessible Lord who presides over all powers, including concealment; by devotion and right understanding, the veiling that obscures the formless (Nirguṇa) truth is pacified into śānti, revealing Śiva’s highest station.

Meditate on Maheśvara as the inner ruler of all mental cycles (cakra) and offer japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to transform agitation into śānti; this aligns the seeker with Śiva’s grace that removes the effects of tirobhāva.
