उपदेशक्रमो ह्यादौ वक्तव्यश्श्रूयतामयम् । चातुर्व्वर्ण्यं हि लोकेस्मिन्प्रसिद्धम्मानुषे मुने
upadeśakramo hyādau vaktavyaśśrūyatāmayam | cāturvvarṇyaṃ hi lokesminprasiddhammānuṣe mune
మొదట ఉపదేశానికి తగిన క్రమాన్ని చెప్పాలి—ఇదిని ఇప్పుడు వినుము. ఓ మునీ, ఈ మనుష్యలోకంలో చాతుర్వర్ణ్యం (నాలుగు వర్ణాల వ్యవస్థ) ప్రసిద్ధంగా ఉంది.
