Sukta 10.42
बृहस्पतिर्नः परि पातु पश्चादुतोत्तरस्मादधरादघायोः । इन्द्रः पुरस्तादुत मध्यतो नः सखा सखिभ्यो वरिवः कृणोतु ॥
bṛ́haspátir naḥ pári pātu paścā́d utóttarasmād ádharād aghāyóḥ | índraḥ purástād utá madhyató naḥ sákhā sákhibhyo vári-vaḥ kṛṇotu ||
బృహస్పతి మమ్మల్ని చుట్టూరా కాపాడుగాక—వెనుకనుండి, పై నుండి, కింద నుండి—హాని కోరే శక్తులు (అఘాయోః) నుండి. ఇంద్రుడు, మా సఖుడు, ముందునుండి మరియు మా మధ్యనుండి కూడా కాపాడుగాక; మా మిత్రశక్తులకు విశాల అవకాశం (వరివః) కలుగజేయుగాక.
