अङ्गदस्य प्रायोपवेशननिश्चयः

Angada’s Resolve to Fast unto Death

प्रकृत्या प्रियपुत्रा सा सानुक्रोशा तपस्विनी।।।।विनष्टमिह मां श्रुत्वा व्यक्तं हास्यति जीवितम्।

prakṛtyā priyaputrā sā sānukrośā tapasvinī |

vinaṣṭam iha māṃ śrutvā vyaktaṃ hāsyati jīvitam ||

ఆమె స్వభావతః పుత్రవాత్సల్యంతో, కరుణతో నిండిన, దుఃఖతప్తురాలైన తపస్విని. ఇక్కడ నేను నశించానని విన్న వెంటనే ఆమె నిశ్చయంగా ప్రాణాలను విడిచిపెడుతుంది.
