Rama–Sugriva Alliance and Fire-Rite of Friendship
तस्यास्य वसतोऽरण्ये नियतस्य महात्मनः।रावणेन हृता भार्या स त्वां शरणमागतः4.5.4।।
tasyāsya vasato 'raṇye niyatasya mahātmanaḥ |
rāvaṇena hṛtā bhāryā sa tvāṃ śaraṇam āgataḥ || 4.5.4 ||
అరణ్యంలో నియమంతో నివసిస్తున్న ఆ మహాత్ముని భార్యను రావణుడు అపహరించాడు; అందుకే ఆయన నీ శరణు కోరుతూ వచ్చాడు।
Sugriva, very much pleased with the words of Rama, spoke highly (of him).
