एवं मां परिभाषन्तं कस्माद्वै नाभिभाषथः।।सुग्रीवो नाम धर्मात्मा कश्चिद्वानरयूथपः।वीरो विनिकृतो भ्रात्रा जगद्भ्रमति दुःखितः।।

Transliteration

evaṃ māṃ paribhāṣantaṃ kasmād vai nābhibhāṣathaḥ ||

sugrīvo nāma dharmātmā kaścid vānarayūthapaḥ |

vīro vinikṛto bhrātrā jagad bhramati duḥkhitaḥ ||

Translation

నేను ఈ విధంగా మాట్లాడుతున్నప్పటికీ మీరు ఇద్దరూ ఎందుకు ప్రత్యుత్తరం ఇవ్వరు? వానరయూథపతి, ధర్మాత్ముడూ వీరుడూ అయిన సుగ్రీవుడు అనే ఒకడు ఉన్నాడు; సోదరుని చేత అన్యాయానికి గురై దుఃఖంతో లోకమంతా తిరుగుతున్నాడు।
