Sugriva’s Coronation and Angada’s Installation
इयं गिरिगुहा रम्या विशाला युक्तमारुता।प्रभूतसलिला सौम्य प्रभूतकमलोत्पला।।
iyaṁ giriguhā ramyā viśālā yuktamārutā | prabhūtasalilā saumya prabhūtakamalotpalā ||
హే సౌమ్య సుగ్రీవా, ఈ పర్వతగుహ రమ్యమైనది, విశాలమైనది, చక్కని గాలివాటం కలది. ఇక్కడ సమృద్ధిగా నీరు ఉంది; కమలాలు, ఉత్పలాలు విరివిగా ఉన్నాయి॥
'Dear Sugriva! this cavern of the mountain is large and airy. It has abundant water resources with lotuses and lilies.
Care for allies: Rāma treats Sugrīva with respect and consideration, ensuring comfort and safety—an aspect of righteous friendship and leadership.
Rāma indicates a suitable, pleasant mountain-cavern as a place of stay while coordinating the next steps in the alliance with Sugrīva.
Rāma’s thoughtful guardianship and courteous alliance-building (saumya-sambhāṣaṇa and protective foresight).
