वालिवधोत्तरशोकः

Sugriva’s Remorse and Tara’s Lament after Vali’s Death

वधो हि मे मतो नासीत्स्वमाहात्म्याव्यतिक्रमात्।ममाऽसीद्बुद्धिदौरात्म्यात्प्राणहारी व्यतिक्रमः।।

vadho hi me mato nāsīt sva-māhātmyāvyatikramāt | mamā ’sīd buddhi-daurātmyāt prāṇahārī vyatikramaḥ ||

తన మహాత్మ్యాన్ని అతిక్రమించవలసి వస్తుందనుకొని నా వధ అతనికి సమ్మతంగా అనిపించలేదు; కాని నా బుద్ధి దౌష్ట్యమువల్ల ప్రాణహరమైన అతిక్రమం సంభవించింది.
