इत्युक्तः प्रश्रितं वाक्यं धर्मार्थसहितं हितम्।परुषं वालिना रामो निहतेन विचेतसा।।

Transliteration

ityuktaḥ praśritaṃ vākyaṃ dharmārtha-sahitaṃ hitam | paruṣaṃ vālinā rāmo nihatena vicetasā ||

Translation

ఇలా వాలి పలికిన కఠిన వచనాలు—బయటకు వినయంగా, హితంగా, ధర్మార్థసహితంగా కనిపించినా, మృతిప్రాయుడై మనస్సు కలత చెందినవాడి నోట నుండి వచ్చినవి—విని రాముడు సమాధానం పలికాడు।
