गोदावरीतटे सीतान्वेषणम्
The Search for Sītā at the Godāvarī
निराशस्तु तया नद्या सीताया दर्शने कृतः।उवाच रामस्सौमित्रिं सीतादर्शनकर्शितः।।।।
nirāśas tu tayā nadyā sītāyā darśane kṛtaḥ | uvāca rāmaḥ saumitriṃ sītādarśanakarśitaḥ ||
ఆ నది నుండి ఏ సమాధానమూ లభించక రాముడు నిరాశ చెందాడు. సీతాదర్శనం లేని వేదనతో క్షీణించి, సౌమిత్రి (లక్ష్మణుడు)తో మాట్లాడాడు।
