tathā tu taṃ samādiśya bhrātaraṃ raghunandanaḥ | babandhāsiṃ mahātejā jāmbūnadamayatsarum ||
The brilliant Rama, delight of the Raghu dynasty, thus instructed his brother and fastened a sword with a golden handle to his waist.
Dharma for a protector includes readiness and responsible action; Rāma equips himself after giving instructions, showing disciplined preparedness.
Rāma, after directing Lakṣmaṇa, arms himself before setting out in connection with the deer episode.
Rāma’s composed leadership and kṣatriya-like preparedness—acting with order (instruction first, then action).
