Concept: Purity (pavitrata) and dharmic life refine even one’s embodied existence; the body becomes a vessel of sacred signs.

Application: Treat the body as an instrument of sādhana—cleanliness, truthful speech, regulated senses, and devotional routine—so ‘pavitra’ qualities manifest in conduct.

FAQs

It states a lifespan of 115 years (one hundred plus ten plus five).

It is an honorific address meaning “best of the twice-born,” typically referring to an excellent brāhmaṇa.

The verse literally says “three purifying horns.” Without additional chapter context, it is best read as describing a being/creature characterized by three horns regarded as purifying or sacred.
