ईश्वर उवाच । अहं तुष्टोस्मि ते विप्र वरं प्रार्थय स्वेप्सितम् । उमया सहितो देवो वरं तस्य हि दापयेत्

ఈశ్వరుడు పలికెను—ఓ విప్రా, నేను నీపై ప్రసన్నుడను; నీకు ఇష్టమైన వరాన్ని కోరుకో. ఉమాతో కూడిన దేవుడు నిశ్చయంగా అతనికి ఆ వరాన్ని ప్రసాదిస్తాడు.

Concept: When devotion is accepted, the deity invites a dharmic desire (vara) and promises fulfillment; divine grace is relational and responsive.

Application: Before asking for outcomes, cultivate qualities that make one ‘pleasing’ (truthfulness, restraint, service). Then frame requests as instruments for worship/community benefit rather than ego.
