Unspecified (context-dependent within Adhyaya 39; verse presents a doctrinal statement about the Supreme).

Concept: The Supreme is immanent: the very worship within all yajñas, the truth known by seers, the inner Self of adhyātma-knowers; yet He is also experienced as naraka by those who choose vikarma.

Application: Make daily actions offerings (yajña-bhāva), cultivate inner awareness, and avoid prohibited acts; see the Divine as both intimate witness and moral law.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka

Type: temple

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A sacred fire altar blazes as offerings rise like luminous petals, and within the flames a subtle vision of Nārāyaṇa appears—conch and discus gleaming—signifying ‘He is the worship in all sacrifices’. Behind, a translucent overlay shows the same Lord seated in the heart-lotus of a meditator, while a shadowy lower realm hints at naraka for vikarmī souls.","primary_figures":["Nārāyaṇa/Viṣṇu (as yajña-puruṣa and antaryāmin)","Vedic priests (ṛtviks)","meditating seeker (adhyātma-vid)","vikarmī figure (symbolic)"],"setting":"Ritual hall with yajña-kuṇḍa, ladles, clarified butter vessels, and a parallel inner-heart visualization; distant suggestion of a dark chasm for naraka.","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["flame orange","sacred gold","ash gray","midnight black","Vishnu blue"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: central yajña fire with gold leaf flames forming Viṣṇu’s silhouette, priests offering ghee; to one side a meditating figure with a heart-lotus containing a tiny Viṣṇu, and below a dark naraka vignette; heavy gold embellishment, rich reds/greens, ornate pillars, gem-studded ritual vessels.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: refined yajña scene with delicate flames, cool background tones; Viṣṇu suggested within the fire by subtle blue-gold contours, a lyrical inset of a meditator’s heart-lotus, and a restrained shadowy corner indicating naraka—poetic, not grotesque.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines, stylized fire altar, Viṣṇu icon emerging from flames with śaṅkha-cakra; meditating figure with heart-lotus motif, contrasting dark band for naraka; traditional red-yellow-green palette with strong compositional symmetry.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: yajña as devotional tableau with lotus borders and gold floral filigree; deep blue ground, central fire forming Viṣṇu motifs, repeated conch-disc patterns, cows and peacocks at margins as auspicious symbols, a small dark lower register indicating naraka through abstract waves and thorn motifs."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"devotional","suggested_raga":"Desh","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"reverent-soft","sound_elements":["sacred fire crackle","mantra chanting undertone","temple bells","conch shell","brief heavy silence on 'narakam'"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: इज्यः+सर्वयज्ञानाम्→इज्यस्सर्वयज्ञानाम् (विसर्ग-सन्धिः); अध्यात्मम्+अध्यात्मविदाम्→अध्यात्ममध्यात्मविदाम्

FAQs

It identifies the Supreme as the very “worship” or inner efficacy of every yajña—implying that ritual has its highest meaning when oriented toward Him.

It presents a layered view: to tattva-darśins He is the ultimate Reality, and to adhyātma-vids He is realized as the indwelling spiritual essence (the inner Self).

It warns that wrongful, prohibited actions (vikarma) result in suffering symbolized as naraka, underscoring moral responsibility alongside spiritual knowledge and ritual.
