व्रजामि शरणं देवं गतिरन्या न विद्यते । एवं विचिंत्य देवेंद्रो वृतः सर्वैर्दिवौकसैः
vrajāmi śaraṇaṃ devaṃ gatiranyā na vidyate | evaṃ viciṃtya deveṃdro vṛtaḥ sarvairdivaukasaiḥ
“నేను దేవుని శరణు వెళ్తున్నాను; నాకు మరో మార్గం లేదు.” అని ఆలోచించి దేవేంద్రుడు సమస్త దివౌకసులచే పరివేష్టితుడయ్యాడు.
