निवृत्ते मयि शैलेंद्र ततो वर्धस्व कामतः । पुलस्त्य उवाच । अद्यापि दक्षिणाद्देशाद्वारुणिर्न निवर्तते

nivṛtte mayi śaileṃdra tato vardhasva kāmataḥ | pulastya uvāca | adyāpi dakṣiṇāddeśādvāruṇirna nivartate

“నేను తిరిగి వచ్చిన తరువాత, హే శైలేంద్రా, అప్పుడు నీవు నీ ఇష్టముచొప్పున పెరుగుము.” పులస్త్యుడు అన్నాడు— “ఇప్పటికీ వారుణి దక్షిణ దేశం నుండి తిరిగి రాలేదు.”
