Bhīṣma

Concept: Inquiry into the Lord’s human-like birth (Vāsudeva/Devakī) is itself a doorway to recognizing divinity concealed in līlā.

FAQs

The verse states that the entire Yadu dynasty will be led to Devaloka (the divine/heavenly realm), indicating an exalted destiny for the lineage connected with Vasudeva and Devakī.

Bhīṣma is speaking. He asks for identification: who Vasudeva is and who the renowned Devakī is.

It hints at a Vaiṣṇava-inflected genealogical and salvific theme: divine association with a sacred lineage and ascent to Devaloka, framed through an authoritative dialogue (Bhīṣma’s inquiry).
