Sandhi Resolution Notes: siṃhadvāramatikramya → siṃha-dvāram + atikramya; teṣāṃ pada-vibhāgaḥ. No other mandatory sandhi splits.
The speaker addresses a dauvārikī—an appointed female gatekeeper—requesting that she open the door.
“Siṃhadvāra” indicates a named or emblematic entrance—likely a prominent gateway—used to set the scene for a formal approach to an inner chamber or sacred precinct.
It models respectful address to someone performing duty (niyuktā), acknowledging auspiciousness (śubhalakṣaṇā) while making a direct request—an etiquette of approach in sacred or royal settings.
