bhūtaṃ bhavyaṃ bhaviṣyacca yatkiṃcijjīvasaṃjñitam | sthūlaṃ sūkṣmaṃ paraṃ caiva sarvaṃ nārāyaṇātmakam || 42 ||
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the Uttara-Bhaga dialogue style)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It affirms Nārāyaṇa as the inner essence of all life across time—past, present, and future—supporting a worldview where devotion and realization converge in seeing the Divine in all beings.
By declaring all jīvas to be Nārāyaṇa-ātmaka, it encourages bhakti that is reverent and inclusive—serving beings and worshipping Viṣṇu are aligned because the Lord pervades all levels of existence.
The verse is primarily tattva-teaching rather than a technical Vedāṅga instruction; its practical takeaway supports dharmic conduct and mantra-bhakti by grounding worship in the understanding of Nārāyaṇa’s all-pervasion.
