Gayā-Māhātmya

एवं दत्ते तु वै पिंडे वणिजा प्रेतभावतः । विमुक्ता द्विजतां प्राप्य ब्रह्मलोकं ततो गताः ॥ ५० ॥

evaṃ datte tu vai piṃḍe vaṇijā pretabhāvataḥ | vimuktā dvijatāṃ prāpya brahmalokaṃ tato gatāḥ || 50 ||

ఈ విధంగా విధివిధానంగా పిండదానం చేయబడినప్పుడు ఆ వాణిజులు ప్రేతస్థితి నుండి విముక్తులయ్యారు; ద్విజత్వాన్ని పొందిన తరువాత బ్రహ్మలోకానికి వెళ్లారు।
