Mohinyāḥ Bhāṣaṇam

putravākyātparityajya krodhaṃ sāpatnyajaṃ tathā | dṛṣṭvā rukmāṃgadaṃ prāptaṃ śayane mohya suṃdarī || 42 ||
Narada (narrating the episode within the Uttara-Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights inner purification as part of dharma: anger arising from jealousy is renounced through good counsel, showing that self-control and reconciliation support righteous living.
Though narrative in tone, it supports bhakti indirectly by emphasizing mastery over passions (krodha, īrṣyā). Such restraint is a prerequisite for steady devotion and vow-keeping praised throughout the Purana.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is taught directly in this verse; the practical takeaway is ethical discipline (dama/kṣamā) that undergirds ritual purity and vrata observance.
