ब्राह्मणक्षत्रियविशां शूद्राणां च स्वकर्मतः ।

परिच्युतानां या चेष्टा परलोकार्थमीप्सताम् ॥

brāhmaṇa-kṣatriya-viśāṃ śūdrāṇāṃ ca svakarmataḥ | paricyutānāṃ yā ceṣṭā paralokārtham īpsatām ||

తమ తమ స్వధర్మం నుండి పతితులైన బ్రాహ్మణులు, క్షత్రియులు, వైశ్యులు, శూద్రులు—పరలోక ఫలాన్ని కోరుతూ ఏ ప్రయత్నం చేసినా—ఆ ప్రయత్నమంతా తప్పుదారి పట్టినదే।
