Adhyaya 11 — The Son’s Discourse on Embryogenesis, Birth, and the Wheel of Saṃsāra
tatas taṃ vaiṣṇavī māyā samāskandati mohinī | tayā vimohitātmāsau jñānabhraṃśam avāpnute ||

Even if the jīva had clarity (or latent wisdom), embodied life is quickly veiled by māyā; therefore one should intentionally cultivate remembrance (smṛti), discrimination (viveka), and dharma to counter forgetfulness.
A doctrinal passage about the mechanism of bondage; broadly within Purāṇic cosmology/ontology (Sarga/Pratisarga) rather than dynastic history.
‘Vaiṣṇavī’ indicates māyā is not merely personal ignorance but a cosmic, divinely sanctioned power that structures experience—bondage is systemic, so liberation requires a higher knowledge that transcends the system.
