एष सर्वान्‌ महीपालान्‌ करदान्‌ समकारयत्‌ | वैश्यानिव महाभागो विवशान्‌ स्ववशानपि

Transliteration

arjuna uvāca | eṣa sarvān mahīpālān karadān samakārayat | vaiśyān iva mahābhāgo vivaśān svavaśān api |

Translation

ఈ మహాభాగ రాజు భూమండలంలోని సమస్త రాజులను కరదులుగా చేసెను; వైశ్యులవలె, వారు స్వచ్ఛందంగా ఉన్నా లేదా బలవంతంగా అయినా, అందరినీ తన వశంలోకి తెచ్చి కప్పం చెల్లింపజేశాడు।
