उत्तरो जयमावेदयति—विराटस्य हर्षः, द्यूतनिषेधः

तान् विकीर्णपताकेन रथेनादित्यवर्चसा । प्रत्युधयौ महाराज समनन््तादू वानरध्वज:,महाराज! तब वानरयुक्ता ध्वजावाले अर्जुन भी सूर्यके समान तेजस्वी तथा फहराती हुई पताकासे सुशोभित रथके द्वारा सब ओरसे उनका सामना करनेके लिये आगे बढ़े
tān vikīrṇapatākena rathenādityavarcāsā | pratyudyayau mahārāja samantād vānaradhvajaḥ ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—మహారాజా! అప్పుడు వానరధ్వజుడైన అర్జునుడు, సూర్యసమాన తేజస్సుతో, విస్తారంగా ఎగిరే పతాకతో అలంకరించబడిన రథంపై ఎక్కి, అన్ని దిశల నుండీ వారిని ఎదుర్కొనుటకు ముందుకు సాగెను।
