सा च मुक्ता गदा गुर्वी कृपेण सुपरिष्कृता । अर्जुनेन शरैरनुन्ना प्रतिमार्गमथागमत्,जिसका सुवर्ण आदिसे भलीभाँति परिष्कार किया गया था, वह कृपाचार्यद्वारा चलायी हुई भारी गदा अर्जुनके बाणोंसे प्रेरित हो उलटी लौट गयी
sā ca muktā gadā gurvī kṛpeṇa supariṣkṛtā | arjunena śarair anunnā pratimārgam athāgamat ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను— కృపుడు విసిరిన, స్వర్ణాది అలంకారాలతో సుసంస్కృతమైన ఆ భారమైన గద అర్జునుని బాణాలచే ప్రతిహతమై, అదే మార్గంలో తిరిగి వెనక్కి వచ్చెను।
