वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights a Mahābhārata motif: when decisive moments connected with dharma arise, the world becomes a stage observed by higher beings. The imagery suggests that moral and fateful actions resonate beyond human society, aligning with a larger cosmic order.
Vaiśampāyana describes the sky at that moment as filled with devas, yakṣas, gandharvas, and great nāgas, making it shine like a cloudless planetary sphere—an elevated, omen-like description indicating an extraordinary event drawing celestial attention.
