न हि गाण्डीवनिर्मुक्ता गार्ध्रपक्षा: सुतेजना: । नान्तरेष्ववतिष्ठन्ते गिरीणामपि दारणा:,गाण्डीवसे छूटे हुए गीधके पंखवाले तीखे बाण पर्वतोंको भी विदीर्ण करनेवाले हैं। वे शत्रुकी छातीमें घुसे बिना नहीं रहते

na hi gāṇḍīva-nirmuktā gārdhra-pakṣāḥ su-tejanāḥ | nāntareṣv avatiṣṭhante girīṇām api dāraṇāḥ ||

కృపుడు అన్నాడు—గాండీవం నుంచి విడిచిన గృధ్రపక్షాలతో కూడిన తేజోమయ బాణాలు మధ్యలో ఆగవు; శత్రువు దేహాన్ని ఛేదించకుండా నిలవవు—పర్వతాలను కూడా చీల్చగలవు.
