हि आय () है एकोनपज्चाशत्तमो< ध्याय: कृपाचार्यका कर्णको फटकारते हुए युद्धके विषयमें अपना विचार बताना कृप उवाच सदैव तव राधेय युद्धे क्रूरतरा मति: । नार्थानां प्रकृतिं वेत्सि नानुबन्धमवेक्षसे,तदनन्तर कृपाचार्यने कहा--राधानन्दन! युद्धके विषयमें तुम्हारा विचार सदा ही क्रूरतापूर्ण रहता है। तुम न तो कार्योंके स्‍्वरूपको ही जानते हो और न उनके परिणामका ही विचार करते हो

kṛpa uvāca | sadaiva tava rādheya yuddhe krūtarā matiḥ | nārthānāṃ prakṛtiṃ vets i nānubandham avekṣase ||

Kripa said: “O son of Radha (Karna), your thinking about war is always excessively harsh. You do not understand the true nature of affairs, nor do you consider their consequences.”
