Educational Q&A

The verse highlights adharma: coercion and the misuse of strength against a frightened, helpless person. It implicitly condemns power exercised without restraint and points to the ethical duty to protect, not exploit, the vulnerable.

In the Virāṭa court context, Draupadī (Kṛṣṇā), terrified and nearly fainting, is approached and forcibly grabbed by the Kīcakas—Kīcaka’s associates—intensifying the injustice that will provoke a decisive response.
