भीमेन च परामृष्टो दुर्बलो बलिना रणे । प्रास्पन्दत यथाप्राणं विचकर्ष च पाण्डवम्
bhīmena ca parāmṛṣṭo durbalo balinā raṇe | prāspandata yathāprāṇaṃ vicakarṣa ca pāṇḍavam ||
ఆ యుద్ధంలో మహాబలవంతుడైన భీముని పట్టులో చిక్కి, మరింత బలవంతుడి పట్టు వల్ల కీచకుడు బలహీనుడవుతున్నప్పటికీ, మిగిలిన ప్రాణశక్తి అంతా పెట్టి పోరాడుతూ—పాండవుణ్ని జయించాలనే తపనతో భీమసేనుణ్ని తనవైపు లాగసాగాడు।
