Draupadī’s Lament and Indictment of Misfortune
स सम्प्रहाय शयनं राजपुत्र्या प्रबोधित: । उपातिष्ठत मेघा भ: पर्यड्के सोपसंग्रहे,राजकुमारी द्रौपदीके जगानेपर मेघके समान श्याम वर्णवाले कुरुनन्दन भीमसेन तोशक बिछे हुए पलंगपर शयन छोड़कर उठ बैठे और अपनी प्यारी रानीसे बोले--'देवि! किस कार्यसे तुम इतनी उतावली-सी होकर मेरे पास आयी हो? तुम्हारे शरीरकी कान्ति स्वाभाविक नहीं रह गयी है। तुमपर उदासी छायी है। तुम दुबली और पीली दिखायी देती हो। पूरी बात बताओ, जिससे मैं सब कुछ जान सकूँ

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—రాజకుమార్తె మేల్కొలిపిన వెంటనే అతడు శయనాన్ని విడిచి లేచెను. వానమేఘంలా శ్యామవర్ణుడైన కురునందన భీమసేనుడు సక్రమంగా పరచిన పరుపులున్న మంచం నుండి లేచి తన ప్రియ రాణిని ఉద్దేశించి పలికెను।
