वैशम्पायन उवाच अयं राजन ब्रवीम्येतत् तस्य गुहां विभावसो: । यादृशे कुण्डले ते च कवचं चैव यादृशम्,वैशम्पायनजीने कहा--राजन्! सूर्यदेवकी दृष्टिमें जो गोपनीय रहस्य था, उसे बताता हूँ। इसके साथ कर्णके कुण्डल और कवच कैसे थे? यह भी बता रहा हूँ
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: ayaṃ rājan bravīmy etat tasya guhāṃ Vibhāvasoḥ | yādṛśe kuṇḍale te ca kavacaṃ caiva yādṛśam ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—ఓ రాజా! విభావసు (సూర్యుడు) తెలిసిన ఆ గూఢరహస్యాన్ని నేను చెప్పుదును; అలాగే అతని కుండలాలు ఏ విధమైనవి, అతని కవచం ఏ విధమైనదో కూడా వివరించుదును.
