संदेष्टव्यां तु मन्ये त्वां द्विजातिं कोपन प्रति । पृथे बालेति कृत्वा वै सुता चासि ममेति च,“तथापि पृथे! तुम अभी बालिका और मेरी पुत्री हो, इसलिये इन क्रोधी ब्राह्मणके प्रति बर्ताव करनेके विषयमें तुम्हें कुछ उपदेश देनेकी आवश्यकताका अनुभव मैं करता हूँ
sandeṣṭavyāṃ tu manye tvāṃ dvijātiṃ kopanaṃ prati | pṛthe bāleti kṛtvā vai sutā cāsi mameti ca ||
ఓ పృథా! నీవు ఇంకా బాలికవు, పైగా నా కుమార్తెవు; అందువల్ల ఈ కోపిష్ట బ్రాహ్మణుని పట్ల ఎలా ప్రవర్తించాలో నీకు ఉపదేశం ఇవ్వాలి అని నేను భావిస్తున్నాను।
