Educational Q&A

Righteous rule expresses itself through steady, impartial generosity: providing wholesome sustenance to both renunciants (who live without household ties) and householders, thereby upholding ashrama-based social dharma and cultivating merit through dāna.

Vaiśampāyana describes a setting of orderly prosperity where excellent food is regularly distributed—an image of a well-governed realm or well-maintained community in which ascetics and householders are properly supported and honoured.
