सरमा नाम या माता शुनां देवी जनाधिप । सापि गर्भान् समादत्ते मानुषीणां सदैव हि,नरेश्वर! कुत्तोंकी माता जो देवजातीय सरमा है, वह भी सदैव मानवीय स्त्रियोंके गर्भस्थ बालकोंका अपहरण करती रहती है
saramā nāma yā mātā śunāṃ devī janādhipa | sāpi garbhān samādatte mānuṣīṇāṃ sadaiva hi nareśvara ||
మార్కండేయుడు పలికెను—హే నరేశ్వరా! కుక్కల దివ్యమాత సరమా కూడా నిత్యం మానవ స్త్రీల గర్భస్థ శిశువులను అపహరిస్తుంది.
