अहं हि ब्राह्मण: पूर्वमासं द्विजवरात्मज: । वेदाध्यायी सुकुशलो वेदाज़्ानां च पारग:

Transliteration

ahaṁ hi brāhmaṇaḥ pūrvam āsaṁ dvijavarātmajaḥ | vedādhyāyī sukuśalo vedajñānāṁ ca pāragaḥ ||

Translation

వ్యాధుడు అన్నాడు—పూర్వకాలంలో నేను నిజంగా బ్రాహ్మణుడిని, ఒక ఉత్తమ ద్విజుని కుమారుడిని. నేను వేదాధ్యయనంలో నిమగ్నుడిని, అత్యంత నిపుణుడిని, వేదజ్ఞానపు పరతీరాన్ని చేరినవాడిని.
