येषामस्ति च भोक्तव्यं ग्रहणीदोषपीडिता:
yeṣām asti ca bhoktavyaṃ grahaṇīdoṣapīḍitāḥ
వేటగాడు అన్నాడు—“కొంతమందికి భుజించవలసిన ఆహారం ఉన్నా, వారు గ్రహణీ-దోషంతో బాధపడుతారు; అందువల్ల లభ్యమైనదాన్ని సరిగా ఆస్వాదించలేరు, సరిగా జీర్ణించుకొని గ్రహించలేరు।”
व्याध उवाच
Material availability alone does not guarantee enjoyment or well-being; bodily limitation and illness can prevent one from benefiting even from what is rightfully obtainable, encouraging humility, compassion, and a less judgmental view of others’ circumstances.
Vyādha continues his instruction by pointing to a common human condition: some people possess food and means, yet due to a digestive disorder (grahaṇī-doṣa) they suffer and cannot properly consume or enjoy it—an example used to broaden the listener’s ethical understanding of suffering and limitation.
