य: क्रोधमोहौ त्यजति त॑ देवा ब्राह्मणं विदु: । यो वदेदिह सत्यानि गुरु संतोषयेत च

Transliteration

yaḥ krodha-mohau tyajati taṃ devā brāhmaṇaṃ viduḥ | yo vaded iha satyāni guruṃ santoṣayet ca ||

Translation

బ్రాహ్మణుడు అన్నాడు—క్రోధమూ మోహమూ విడిచివేసినవాడిని దేవతలే నిజమైన బ్రాహ్మణుడిగా గుర్తిస్తారు. ఈ లోకంలో సత్యం పలికి, గురువును సంతృప్తిపరచువాడే ధర్మమార్గంలో నడిచేవాడు.
