Agni’s Withdrawal to the Forest and Identification with Āṅgirasa (अग्न्याङ्गिरस-इतिहासः)
इन्द्रोडप्येषां प्रणमते कि पुनर्मानवो भुवि | अवलिप्ते न जानीषे वृद्धानां न श्रुतं त्वया
indro 'py eṣāṁ praṇamate ki punaḥ mānavo bhuvi | avalipte na jānīṣe vṛddhānāṁ na śrutaṁ tvayā ||
బ్రాహ్మణుడు అన్నాడు—అటువంటి వృద్ధులకు ఇంద్రుడే నమస్కరిస్తాడు; మరి భూమిపై ఉన్న సాధారణ మనిషి ఎంత ఎక్కువగా చేయాలి! కానీ నీవు అహంకారంతో ఉబ్బిపోయి గ్రహించట్లేదు; పెద్దల బోధను నీవు వినలేదు.
