Kubera’s Fivefold Nīti and Protection of the Pāṇḍavas (वैश्रवणोपदेशः)
तान् प्रस्थितानभ्यगच्छद् वृषपर्वा महीपति: । उपन्यस्य महातेजा विप्रेभ्य: पाण्डवांस्तदा,उस समय उनके प्रस्थान करनेपर महातेजस्वी राजर्षि वृषपर्वाने पाण्डवोंको (उस देशके जानकार अन्य) ब्राह्मणोंके सुपुर्द कर दिया और कुछ दूर पीछे-पीछे जाकर उन कुन्तीकुमारोंको आशीर्वाद देकर प्रसन्न किया। तत्पश्चात् उन्हें रास्ता बताकर वृषपर्वा लौट आये
tān prasthitān abhyagacchad vṛṣaparvā mahīpatiḥ | upanyasya mahātejā viprebhyaḥ pāṇḍavāṁs tadā |
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—పాండవులు బయలుదేరినప్పుడు భూపతి వృషపర్వుడు వారిని సమీపించెను. ఆ మహాతేజస్వి రాజు, ఆ దేశమును బాగా తెలిసిన విద్యావంత బ్రాహ్మణులకు అప్పటికి పాండవులను అప్పగించెను. కొంత దూరం వెనుకనడిచి, కుంతీపుత్రులను ఆశీర్వదించి ఆనందింపజేసి, మార్గమును చూపించి వృషపర్వుడు తిరిగి వెళ్లెను.
