Prabhāsa-tīrthe Vṛṣṇi–Pāṇḍava-saṅgamaḥ; Halī Rāmasya dharma-vimarśaḥ

Meeting at Prabhāsa and Balarāma’s Reflection on Dharma

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights karmic accountability and moral clarity: a ruler (or powerful person) must examine the ethical causes behind suffering and fear the future consequences of unjustly depriving a righteous person of sovereignty.

Baladeva speaks in a reflective, anxious tone, confessing that he cannot identify the wrongdoing that has led to his present ‘blindness’ (literal or moral), and he anticipates a grim future rebirth among kings if he has participated in the injustice of expelling Yudhiṣṭhira from his kingdom.
