गङ्गाधारणम् (Gaṅgādhāraṇa) — Śiva Bears the Descent of Gaṅgā
त॑ तोषय महाबाहो तपसा वरदं हरम् । सतु मां प्रच्युतां देवः शिरसा धारयिष्यति,“महाबाहो! तुम तपस्याद्वारा उन्हीं वरदायक भगवान् शिवको संतुष्ट करो। स्वर्गसे गिरते समय वे ही मुझे अपने मस्तकपर धारण करेंगे
taṁ toṣaya mahābāho tapasā varadaṁ haram | sa tu māṁ pracyutāṁ devaḥ śirasā dhārayiṣyati ||
“మహాబాహో! తపస్సుతో వరదాత హరుడు—శివుడు—ను ప్రసన్నం చేయుము. నేను స్వర్గం నుండి పడుచు వేళ ఆ దేవుడు నన్ను తన శిరస్సుపై ధరిస్తాడు.”
